Iconic bike-maker Royal Enfield has now updated the Bullet 350 and the Bullet 500 to meet the latest norms by Government of India. The 2017 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 comes with a BS-IV engine and Always-on Headlamps. What's even a better news is that the 2017 model Bullet 500 gets Fuel Injection. The India-spec model even gets a new colour option and a disc brake at front (finally!), while the international-spec gets even a rear disc and ABS. Royal Enfield is yet to announce the prices of the 2017 Bullet 500 motorcycle. However, one thing that's for sure is the updated model will command a slight premium over the previous version. Currently, the Bullet 500 retails for Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). We expect this figure to rise till about Rs 1.62 lakh.

Powering the new model 2017 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is the same 499cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that was found in the earlier model. However, for the 2017 Bulle 500, it has been updated to meet BSIV emission norms. This engine now produces a higher max. power of 27.2 BHP and a peak torque of 41.3 Nm. It comes to coupled with a 5-speed Manual Transmission.
